The Cardiovascular System Center in KDH aims for the professional treatment against acute heart diseases, acute myocardial infarction, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, coronary artery diseases, hyperlipidemia, cardiac insufficiency, irregular pulse, peripheral vascular diseases, and chronic cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, the Cardiovascular System Center is achieving a high success rate by selecting the best therapies through quick and systematic teamwork based on the multidisciplinary cooperation with the Department of Cardiosurgery, the Department of Vascular Surgery, the Department of Pediatric Cardiosurgery, the Department of Thoracic Surgery, the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, and the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

The Center implemented advanced medical systems, including a cardiac imaging laboratory for diagnosing the heart tissues and functions, an electric physiologic test laboratory for diagnosing an irregular pulse, and an angiocardiography laboratory for resurrecting the heart by unblocking clogged vessels. In particular, the Center already leads the way in electrophysiological testing and treatment. The Center operates an “SOS Emergency Reaction System” 365 days a year to quickly cope with emergency events, including acute myocardial infarctions and heart attacks.
