The Center has been devoting itself only to its specialized field ‘head and neck cancer’ since the 1990s. For caring for patients before and after treatment, the Center operates a system through the multidisciplinary cooperation system including the Department of Plastic Surgery, the Department of Hemato Oncology, the Department of Radiology, the Department of Radio-Oncology and the Department of Pathology.
In particular, the Center enhances the satisfaction and confidence of patients as they can check the status and location of their diseases by themselves through the diagnostic imaging devices in the outpatient unit.
The leader in advanced and recurrent cancer treatment
The Center is specialized in providing operative and non-operative therapies to minimize complications after therapy for head and neck cancer patients visiting the hospital due to advanced or recurrent cancers, as they missed the time for treatment, as it’s not easy to detect those cancers early. Moreover, the Center operates the Dysphagia Clinic, specializing in treatment, including swallowing or speaking by intensifying the rehabilitation after surgery. In addition, the Center implements psychotherapy to relieve the mental impact on patients after surgery, resecting part of their face.
